Comfort Keys Pro actions

You can use this group of actions to configure shortcut keys for different features of Comfort Keys Pro.

Show the keyboard shortcuts settings window

Opens the keyboard shortcuts settings window. For more details, see the Keyboard shortcuts settings section.

Activate the next keyboard shortcuts file

Opens the next file with shortcut keys in the list. To see that list, select the Activate Keyboard Shortcuts File item in the application’s context menu. You can also specify the file containing other shortcuts in the File field.

Show settings

Opens the application’s All Settings window.

Show clipboard manager

Opens the clipboard manager.

For more details, see the Working with Clipboard Manager section.

Paste clipboard as plain text

Pastes unformatted text from the clipboard.

It may be handy to have the pasted text formatted like the other text at the target location, instead of keeping the original formatting.

Paste clipboard as keystroke sequence

Pastes text from the clipboard as a key sequence. Please note that the text cannot be very long.

Track clipboard changes on/off

Enables/disables clipboard monitoring by the clipboard manager. For example, you can disable the monitoring while copying confidential data.

Show template manager / Paste text

Opens the template manager. For more details, see the Working with template manager section.

Add template from clipboard

Adds new text from the clipboard to the templates.

Toggle the visibility of the on-screen keyboard

Activate the next keyboard type

Text suggestions on/off

Enables or disables the Text Suggestions feature. For more details, see the Text Suggestions section.

Show context menu with all actions

Opens a context menu with the same actions as in the Keyboard Shortcuts Settings window.

Show the task switching window with opened documents and executed applications

By default, the task switching window is opened using the Alt+Tab key combination. The main advantage of the Comfort Keys Pro task switching window is that all running applications are shown in a compact list.

Now you don’t need to guess the difference between different applications that look all the same.

Moreover, you can specify your own shortcut key for switching between tasks.

For more details about configuring the advanced parameters, see the Task Switching Window section.

Show the list of the recently launched programs

By default, Comfort Keys Pro keeps the history of all launched programs. You can use this action to open a list of recently run applications.

To start an application again, select it from the list.

Show the desktop with hotkeys

Comfort Keys Pro has a unique feature for displaying the desktop with shortcut keys. Press the shortcut key and hold it down. When you release the key, all hidden windows will be restored. While holding down the key, you can work with desktop shortcuts and start applications by using the shortcut keys (0 ... Z) displayed next to the shortcuts.

Note: To specify a shortcut key for this action, we recommend using the CapsLock, NumLock, ScrollLock, or Tab key in combination with the control keys.
