Autocomplete works fine in notepad, web browsers, and in form fields for MSAccess database, but not in MS Word 2000 or OpenOffice Writer 3.0. I type, nothing happens on the screen.

I'm using Comfort Typing alone on my laptop, the full suite on my desktop, same issue.

Yes.

This morning, I tried autocomplete with MS Word and it works as it should. Not with Open Office Writer, however.

Some cross-platform applications (Firefox, Open Office etc.) don't provide information about cursor. They don't have cursor at all. It's simply vertical slash.
Their support doesn't understand this problem.
So we know about this problem but can't solve it.
