Not sure if it is a bug or maybe I am missing something.

When I use the hotkey for Volume Up and Volume Down in a full screen game, the game gets minimized. The volume changes as well but then I have to click on the taskbat in order to get back into the game.
I tried different key combinations, the result is the same.

Pretty frustrating.

Any ideas ?

I think you have to disable info window.
See Options -> Keyboard Shortcuts -> Info -> Enabled.

Comfort, Info was the first thing I disabled.
Still happening.

I am on Win 7 64 bit. Maybe that has to do with anything?

Try to set other hotkeys for Volume Up and Volume Down.

Comfort, I tried at least three different hotkey combinations. Using three keys and two keys for a hotkey.

The result is the same.

Any chance you can check this phenomenon in a full screen game under win 7 64 bit ?

Thanks.

I just tried three full screen games.

In two games volume did not respond at all. (I tried three different hotkey combinations)
The third game got minimized and only then the volume was changed.

I don't know, maybe I a missing something in the options. Perhaps you can look into that.

PS. Just want to say that I selected Standard Keyboard. I have a logitech standard wired keyboard.

X-fi Xtreme Gamer + latest drivers.

The problem is with your software because similar programs perform this task quite flawlessly.

Comfort Keys changes the volume for default output device. With some programs you can select device. But Comfort Keys doesn't have this option.
