Working with Clipboard Manager

Clipboard Manager automatically monitors all changes in the clipboard and saves these changes in the clipboard history.

clipboarden

All data is automatically saved to the hard disk. You can specify any number of fragments to be saved without slowing down the performance. 100 fragments are saved by default.

Clipboard Manager supports all known data formats.

By default, the Win+Ins shortcut opens the Clipboard Manager window.

The following information is displayed for each saved fragment:
· Brief fragment contents: some text or an image.
· The icon of the fragment format the way it is defined in your system.
· The icon of the application the fragment was copied to the clipboard from.
· Brief additional information for each fragment according to its format.
· The list of all formats the fragment can be used in.

To paste the selected fragment into the current application, select it in the list or press its numeric shortcut key: 0..9.

All information is copied to the clipboard in several formats at once so you can select the format you want to use. To paste the currently selected fragment in a certain format, select the necessary format in the Paste as list or press the shortcut letter key: A..Z. For instance, you can paste RTF text in the TEXT format.

See the Clipboard Manager section for the Clipboard Manager settings.

Clipboard formats
· UNICODETEXT - Unicode text (plain, double-byte). Used to represent data regardless of character set. May be useful in Non-English languages.
· TEXT - Plain text, with no formatting. This is the most universally accepted clipboard format.
· RTF - Rich Text Format, used by word processors (like MS Word, OpenOffice) to exchange text with font, style, color and other attributes.
· HTML - Usually from an internet browser. The HTML clipboard format allows a fragment of raw HTML text and its context to be stored on the clipboard as ASCII. This allows the context of the HTML fragment, which consists of all preceding surrounding tags, to be examined by an application so that the surrounding tags of the HTML fragment can be noted with their attributes. Although it is up to applications to decide how to interpret such fragments, some basic guidelines are included here based on IE4/MSHTML implementations. Images included by reference only, not actually part of the data.
· HDROP - Identifies a list of files.
· ENHMETAFILE - Vector drawings and pictures (Enhanced Metafile).
· METAFILEPICT - Similar to ENHMETAFILE, but older (Windows Metafile Picture).
· BITMAP - Windows Bitmap - universal interchange with other graphic programs.
· DIB - Consists of two distinct parts: a structure describing the dimensions and colors of the bitmap, and an array of bytes defining the pixels of the bitmap.
· DIBV5 - Similar to DIB, but newer version 5.
· TIFF - Tagged-image file format.
· SYLK - Microsoft Symbolic Link (SYLK) format.
· WAVE - Represents audio data in one of the standard wave formats, such as 11 kHz or 22 kHz Pulse Code Modulation (PCM).
· RIFF - Represents audio data more complex than can be represented in a standard wave format.

Tips and tricks

· You can protect your data with a strong 448-bit Blowfish encryption. Nobody will access your stored data without your secret password.
· The size of the Clipboard Manager window is determined automatically depending on the screen resolution and you can move the window to any position and its position will be saved.
